Derrick Van Orden Will Embrace Trump’s Call to Pardon Violent Insurrectionists

Jan. 6th insurrectionists led to the deaths of five Capitol police officers and injured 140 others

Yesterday, Donald Trump reiterated his pledge to pardon the violent insurrectionists who attacked police officers on January 6th:

Reporter: "My question is about those rioters who assaulted those officers. Will you pardon them?"

Trump: "Absolutely. I would."

This is Trump's most explicit promise yet to pardon violent criminals.

Derrick Van Orden, who attended the Stop the Steal rally that led to the deadly insurrection, must tell Wisconsinites if he agrees with Trump's calls to pardon insurrectionists and convicted criminals, including those who assaulted police.

DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
"After Van Orden was on Capitol grounds on January 6th and repeatedly displayed threatening behavior toward children, his refusal to stand up for law and order isn't surprising, but it is extreme and out of touch with Wisconsin."
