A reception dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia was held at the Hilton Hotel in Belgrade

On September 24, a reception dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Serbia, and the opening of the Belgrade office of the Embassy of Armenia in Prague was held at the Hilton Hotel in Belgrade.

The event was attended by Vice-Presidents of the National Assembly of Serbia Jovan Janjić and Edin Ɖerlek, Deputy Minister of European Affairs Miroslav Gačinoviċ, multiple heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Serbia, deputies of the National Assembly of Serbia, representatives of scientific, cultural, public circles and the Armenian community.

In his welcoming speech, Ashot Hovakimian, Ambassador of Armenia to Serbia, referred to Republic of Armenia's foreign policy priorities, security agenda issues, as well as prospects for the development of Armenian-Serbian relations.

In memory of Charles Aznavour, on the occasion of his 100th birthday, the Ambassador's speech was followed by the songs of the world-famous master of the chanson, performed by young talented Serbian singer Dora Vrankoviċ.
