City of Alexandria Invites Community Feedback on Design Options for John Ewald Park

The City of Alexandria invites the community to provide feedback on design options for John Ewald Park, 4452 Duke St. Community members are encouraged to participate in a series of events aimed at gathering input on the proposed designs. The feedback collected will help shape the final park design.

The 3.88-acre park, located on the West End, currently has a lighted basketball court, playground, parking lot, and open grass area. Park improvement recommendations were originally established in 2015 after the completion of a park planning process for each of the City's 19 Neighborhood Parks.

Get Involved! Together, we can create a park that is welcoming, accessible, sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone.

John Ewald Park Design Community Meetings

Join City staff as we present concept designs for the park. Learn how your feedback from the fall community survey has been incorporated into the plans and share your thoughts on how the designs can be further improved.

City staff will provide an overview of site data, community survey results, and park design concepts. The park concept designs will be posted to the project webpage and displayed in the park by December 11. Share your input by completing the online survey, which also launches on December 11.
