Detectives Investigating West Seattle Homicide

Detectives are investigating following a shooting that left one man dead in the 4600 block of 36th Avenue Southwest Wednesday afternoon.

People began calling 911 to report shots fired near Southwest Snoqualmie Street and Southwest Alaska Street at 4pm Wednesday. Officers quickly arrived and inside a business found a 29-year-old man shot multiple times.

Seattle Fire Department Medics rushed the man to Harborview Medical Center, but he later succumbed to his injuries.

Witnesses described a possible suspect fleeing the area as a black male wearing all black and a surgical mask.
