UPDATED: University mourns loss of two students

October 10, 2024

The university is saddened to now confirm that two students passed away in what appear to be separate incidents last night. One happened after an apparent fall from Nash Hall, an on-campus residence hall. Emergency services were called at around 10:30 p.m., arrived on the scene and administered medical assistance. The second occurred during the same night. The student was found in Alma Clark Glass Hall this morning unresponsive. At this time, law enforcement is examining both cases.

In both cases, law enforcement personnel have shared that there are no initial indications of foul play, of any connection between the two deaths, and that there is no danger to the broader community. Both students' families have been notified and will be receiving support from the university and emergency personnel.
