The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect involved in a robbery in Northwest.

On May 23, 2024, at approximately 6:52 p.m., the victim was in the 1400 block of Girard Street, Northwest. Multiple suspects pushed the victim to the ground, taking the victim's property, and then fled the scene.

On Monday, July 8, 2024, as a result of the detective's investigation, a 16-year-old male of District Heights, MD was arrested and charged with Robbery.

This case remains under investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
