NACC & IKEA Partner Up for Pets!

NORFOLK, Va. - IKEA knows how to put home furnishings together - they're famous for their wordless, illustrated assembly manuals. Joining efforts, IKEA Norfolk, Norfolk Animal Care Center (NACC) and Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center are putting something special together - families and pets. Throughout July, all adoptions are just $35 for the "No Assembly Required" adoption special.

To celebrate this special partnership, NACC's Waggin' Wheels will be at IKEA Norfolk (1500 Ikea Way) on July 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meet adoptable animals and learn about pet resources, opportunities to get involved and more.

While there, visitors can check out some of IKEA's newest items for pets - many of which have been donated by IKEA to shelter pets at NACC! Be sure to show your IKEA family membership number to get a special gift if you adopt from NACC in July.

NACC is full of wonderful animals just waiting to meet you. Adoption hours are 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Wednesdays. Stop by the shelter (5585 Sabre Rd.) to meet your forever friend! Unable to adopt right now? You can still help! NACC is always looking for foster families be a part of an animal's lifesaving journey by providing a temporary home and TLC away from the shelter. If you've lost your pet, look for them at the shelter as most of the animals at NACC are found in the community. You can also help reunite pets outside the shelter by checking social media lost and found pages.
