Christine Altendorf, Ph.D., P.E., will lead HDR's program management and portfolio management services for federal clients. She will develop strategies, create marketing plans, and identify resources to help capture new opportunities and expansion in this area.

"I'm delighted to be working at HDR and bring my federal experience to the company," Altendorf said. "Programs and projects are getting larger and more complex, and I think there is definitely a niche to fill by providing program management, construction management, and project integration as a service to the federal government. Technical competence, organizational skills, project controls, risk analysis and building coalitions are skillsets that HDR can bring to the table to successfully execute complicated and sustainable infrastructure."

Most recently serving as director of military programs at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Altendorf led a team of over 12,000 civilians and managed a diverse $34 billion mission set that included military construction, environmental, real estate, and interagency and international support.

Altendorf brings over 30 years of civil service experience, including 15 years in the Senior Executive Service. Her previous roles included director of installation management command - Pacific, where she oversaw multimillion-dollar base operations across 13 garrisons, and the director of the Army's Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Prevention Office, where she led cultural change initiatives and policy development.

"We are thrilled to have Christine join the HDR team, where her leadership and strategic vision will undoubtedly drive our continued growth and success in serving federal clients," said Doug McAneny, HDR federal group president. "Christine's experience in diverse leadership positions, technical skills, and ability to lead large-scale projects, make her a significant asset to HDR."
