Synovus ranks high on top 20 list of U.S. banks by reputation

COLUMBUS, Ga., Sept. 25, 2024 - Synovus Bank ranks No. 6 in reputation among customers on American Banker's top 20 list of banks in the United States by reputation. RepTrak, a reputation consulting group, conducts the annual survey, which measures the opinions of customers and noncustomers across 38 of the nation's largest retail banks. The bank received a reputation score of 81.1 - a 5.88% increase from 2023.

RepTrak collected over 16,000 ratings from the public in May and June 2024, through an online survey targeting participants who were highly familiar with the banks they evaluated. Reputation scores ranged from 0 to 100 and measured the emotional connection individuals have with a company. An overall composite score is based on four different questions measuring the degree of trust, respect, admiration and good feelings toward the company.
