Closures On State Routes 132, 99, And Interstate 5

Stanislaus County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 132 (SR-132), State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route, and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 99

• Full, long-term closures of the vending machine buildings at the northbound and southbound Enoch Christofferson Rest Areas for renovations. The project is expected to last through the fall of 2024.

Interstate 5

• Full, long-term closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 for construction work. Note: This project is expected to continue through the fall of 2025.

State Route 132

• Overnight, alternating lane closures on eastbound and westbound SR-132 between El Vista Avenue and Trask Lane in Modesto for utility work beginning Sunday, July 21, through Friday, July 26, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

• Lane shifts between Reinway Avenue and F Street/Hickman Road on SR-132 in Waterford for construction work beginning Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Note: Construction isexpected to continue through the fall of 2024.

Motorists should expect 5 to 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, equipment and materials availability, and construction-related issues.
