United Way Worldwide partners with DoorDash on National Movement to End Hunger and Food Insecurity

United Way Worldwide (UWW) joins a national campaign that kicks off today (7/29) and runs until August 25 led by UWW partner, DoorDash, aimed at ending hunger. United Way joins two other partners (Feeding America and Meals on Wheels America) selected by DoorDash to be part of this national effort

Since 2020, UWW has partnered with DoorDash on its Project DASH initiative, which recently celebrated the milestone of 100 meals delivered to individuals and families in need - with more than 20 million of those meals delivered through our Ride United Last Mile Delivery program. The launch of the campaigns helps to build upon this remarkable milestone and close the hunger gap in the U.S.

Check out DoorDash's newsroom announcement as well as a statement from United Way Worldwide's President and CEO, Angela F. Williams.

""United Way is proud to partner with DoorDash in reaching their milestone of delivering 100 million meals. Through our Ride United: Last Mile Delivery program, we've contributed over 20 million of those meals. This partnership reflects our joint commitment to tackling food insecurity and ensuring that everyone has access to healthy and affordable food. Together, we're making a real difference in addressing this complex challenge."
