Teresa Goody Guillén Comments on SEC Continuing to Examine and Enforce Private Fund Advisors’ Actions

Partner Teresa Goody Guillén was quoted in a National Law Journal article titled "SEC Will Keep Examining, Enforcing Private Fund Advisers' Actions Despite Vacated Rule, Securities Lawyers Say" about the Securities and Exchange Commission continuing to examine and enforce private fund advisors' actions even though a federal appeals court struck down the agency rule regulating the space. Goody Guillén stated that the SEC's decision to pass on further review by the Fifth Circuit was possibly due to the agency not wanting to risk any additional rulings not in their favor.
