PRISA further bolsters cross-corporate management by signing Jesús Torres as Director of People and Talent.

  • He joins the senior management team, reporting to the group's Deputy Chairperson and CFO, Pilar Gil.


PRISA Group is further promoting transversal management across the company's strategic areas by incorporating Jesús Torres as the new Corporate Director of People and Talent. He will be joining the senior management team and will report to the Deputy Chair and CFO, Pilar Gil, as well as to the Appointments, Remuneration and Corporate Governance Committee. He will be coordinating the human resources of all business units in Spain and Latin America.

Among his chief functions are the oversight and reporting of the Group's human-resources-related information (financial and non-financial), the review of systems, and the digitalization of resources that will improve performance. He will also identify internal and external talent for the development of the business and provide support and independent analysis in the operational areas of HR, such as recruiting, implementation of training plans, and the management of human capital and organizational culture.

Jesús Torres has more than 25 years of professional experience in large organizations across a wide range of sectors. His most recent position was at Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar, where he worked as EMEA HR Director. Previously, he was corporate HR director of the multinational Food Delivery Brands, present in 32 markets in Spain and Latin America and with 18,000 direct employees. He was director of people and talent for Southern Europe and LATAM at Rentokil and HR director of Heineken Spain. He is also the president of the Spanish Association of Human Resources Directors, AEDRH.

He holds a degree in Law from the University of Seville, a Master's degree from the Instituto de Empresa, a PDG from IESE, a PDE+ from The Valley Digital Business School, and has completed a Program for Directors at ESADE. He also boasts an outstanding teaching career on the Master's Programs in HR Management at UAX, UNIR, Universidad Villanueva, and the Complutense, and as an associate professor of the Chair of Labor Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Seville, among others.
