Grant (b) for Scientific Research in Bacterial Pathogenesis, Medicity

MediCity Research Laboratory is now accepting grant applications for scientific research in bacterial pathogenesis.

  • Research Focus: The grant supports a project on the structure and function of fimbrial adhesins in Gram-negative bacteria. The grant offers the possibility for the researcher to conduct research of fimbrial adhesins assembled via the chaperone-usher pathway and pursue research in a sequence-structure-function classification of these bacterial organelles.
  • Essential Experience: Applicants should have a PhD and extensive research experience in chaperone-usher secretion systems and immunology, with publications, particularly classification papers and reviews, on this topic.
  • Grant Period: 15th September 2024 - 15th May 2025.
  • Grant Amount: €2700 per month.
  • Application Period: 26th August - 10th September 2024.
  • Required Attachments: CV, list of publications, and a motivation letter.
