Reminder: Employees to save leave for winter break

With the winter break closure only a few months away, employees are reminded to check their leave balances to ensure they have enough to cover the holiday closure.

During the holiday week closure (Dec. 24, 2024 to Jan. 1, 2025), all employees who earn vacation leave (including classified and professional staff, as well as 12-month faculty) need to record leave for the three days that are not official holidays (Dec. 26, 27 and 30). Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1 are paid holidays for benefit-eligible employees.
