Philadelphia, PA - ThePennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge repairs are planned next week on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) in Philadelphia under a $100.6 million project to rehabilitate the Wayne Junction Viaduct over the SEPTA tracks and Nicetown neighborhood in Philadelphia.

The ramp from southbound U.S. 1 to westbound Interstate 76 will also close at this time. Motorists will detour east on I-76, exit at Montgomery Avenue, then take the ramp to westbound I-76.
  • Monday, August 12, through Thursday, August 15, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 AM the following morning, periodic single and double lane closures are planned on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between I-76 and Henry Avenue.
