Arrest for Sexual Abuse Against Minors

Murrieta, CA - On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, officers with the Murrieta Police Department became aware of an alleged sexual abuse against minor children that was reported to have occurred in 2016 at a residence in the City of Murrieta.

The case was assigned to the Detective Bureau for further investigation, which determined that the suspect, Wayne Conklin, had allegedly committed sexual abuse against two minor children in 2016. Conklin was arrested on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, and booked into the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center.

Wayne Conklin, a Murrieta resident, is 50 years of age and was arrested for the charges of PC 288(a) - Lewd Act Upon a Child, PC 667.61(e)(4) - Continual Sexual Abuse of Multiple Victims, and PC 136.1(b)(1) - Dissuading a Witness.
