Attorney Appointed to The GateHouse Board of Directors

Barley Snyder attorney Hannah M. Schroerhas been appointed to The GateHouse'sBoard of Directors.

The nonprofit organization, located in the heart of Lancaster City, has been a pillar in its community working to transform and encourage lifelong recovery for individuals struggling with addiction. For over 50 years, The GateHouse has provided personalized treatments and services to individuals and families within the community to aid in overcoming the addictive cycle. The center offers a variety of programs, including outpatient treatment, sober living, and support services designed to help individuals not only achieve but maintain recovery.

"Over the summer, I had the opportunity to visit one of The GateHouse's residential homes and see the organization's dedication to transforming lives through accredited recovery services," said Schroer. "I was impressed by their work to empower participants through life skills, such as cooking and even gardening, and I am thrilled to have a part in furthering The Gatehouse's important mission."

Schroer is a member of Barley Snyder's Employment Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a Judicial Clerk at the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas for the Honorable Leonard G. Brown III. Before pursuing a career in law, Schroer worked as a freelance journalist. She is a graduate of the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and Rutgers University. Active in her community, Schroer is a volunteer with the Lancaster Conservancy's Water Quality Volunteer Coalition and serves on the Pastoral Council at her local church.
