Andreoli had an opportunity to score a goal in the 41st minute, but an excellent save by the Rider goalkeeper kept the score 2-0 heading into halftime. NJIT outshot Rider 10-3 in the first half.
In the 80th minute, a Rider player fouled in the box, resulting in a penalty kick. Adams missed the penalty kick, but the ball rebounded to her, and she scored her second goal of the game. The Flemington, New Jersey native recorded her second career multi-goal game, her first since August 18, 2022, against LIU.
Adams, , and each took four shots. NJIT led Rider in shots (23-4), shots on goal (9-1), and corner kicks (9-3).
The Highlanders have now won by two or more goals in all six of their all-time victories against Rider.
