I 5/SR 78 Connector Closures This Week, 9/25 26 and 29

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans maintenance crews will close the State Route 78 (SR-78) connector to southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) and the southbound I-5 connector to SR-78 Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday this week from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for landscape work.

Southbound I-5 motorists may exit at Las Flores drive, turn left on Las Flores Drive, proceed to northbound I-5 to the eastbound or westbound SR-78 connector.

Eastbound and westbound SR-78 motorist may connect to northbound I-5, exit on Oceanside Boulevard, turn right on Oceanside Blvd, and proceed to the southbound I-5 ramp.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
