Join Us for the Inaugural Meeting of the 2024-2026 FOIA Advisory Committee

The 2024-2026 term of the FOIA Advisory Committee will gather in person for the first meeting of the sixth term on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET in the William G. McGowan Theater at the National Archives Building in Washington, DC. If attending in person we ask that you register by midnight Saturday, September 7, 2024, and arrive no later than 9:45 a.m. on September 9. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the National Archives YouTube channel.

After a welcome by the Archivist of the United States, the 20 newly appointed Committee members and the work of the Committee will be introduced, setting the stage for discussion of FOIA topics to consider in the next two years.

All meeting materials will be posted on the FOIA Advisory Committee website. Public comments during the meeting will be in person only. Comments will be limited to three minutes per individual.
