[BOISE] - Attorney General Raúl Labrador has announced Investigators with his Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested thirty-nine-year-old Michael Montoya of Burley, Idaho on Thursday, August 30th, 2024, for two (2) counts of Production of Child Sexual Exploitation Material, five (5) counts of Possession of Child Sexual Exploitation Material, and one (1) count of Distribution Child Sexual Exploitation Material after a search warrant was served at his residence.

"Yesterday's arrest involved multiple agencies working together to protect children from abuse and exploitation, said Attorney General Labrador. "I'm grateful for these effective partnerships and our unwavering mission of keeping our kids safe.

Agencies that assisted the ICAC Task Force were Rupert Police Department, Cassia County Sheriff's Office, Idaho State Police in District 4, Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Attorney's Office, and the United States Postal Inspector.

Bail in this matter has been set for one million dollars.

The Attorney General's ICAC Unit works with the Idaho ICAC Task Force, a coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the internet to criminally exploit children.
