The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today reminded customers of signal modernization work along the line which started Monday, July 1. The work is part of the final stages of the Authority's Culver Line Signal Modernization project, which is fully replacing signals on the Culver Line from Church Avto West 8 St-New York Aquarium in Brooklyn to improve reliability and resilience, and also removing and decommissioning equipment that has reached the end of their useful life to improve overall service for customers.
On the following weekends, train service will operate between Jamaica-179 St and Church Av stations. Free shuttle buses will operate between Church Av and Coney Island-Stillwell Av to provide service to closed stations. These dates are subject to change:

MTA app - Customers who use the comprehensive MTA smartphone app will see real-time travel information for all MTA services all in one place.
new.mta.info - The "Service Status" box at new.mta.info is always the definitive source for the latest status for each line.
MTA Weekender - Customers can sign up for the "MTA Weekender," a weekly digest of major weekend service changes throughout the transit system.
WhatsApp - Customers can chat with NYC Transit via WhatsApp. Riders can receive customer service support in their native language through the help of Google Translate.
