Hyde Park Officers Recovered Three Firearms and $28,000

At about 1:29 AM, on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, officers assigned to District E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to the area of 8 Neponset Avenue for a report of a suspicious person.

Officers were advised that about an hour prior, a victim observed a group of four males sitting inside two vehicles outside of his house. The victim could hear the group conversing about entering his home.

Upon arrival, officers observed a motor vehicle parked across from the victim's house. As officers requested more information from Boston Police Operations, the vehicle fled the scene at a high rate of speed towards Canterbury Street.

Officers followed the vehicle and observed it stop in the area of Eldridge Road. Two suspects immediately exited the vehicle and began to sprint from the scene. Officers searched the area and were unable to locate the fleeing suspects.

Officers conducted a motor vehicle inventory search of the vehicle and recovered three firearms, and approximately $28,194 in U.S. currency.
