Sen. Cramer: Federal Aviation Administration Awards More Than $1.2 Million to North Dakota

BISMARCK - The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced the award of $750,897 through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) to North Dakota to update an existing airport system plan.

Additionally, the FAA announced a total of $519,629 through the Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) Program, which was established by the fully paid-for Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to provide airports with funding for modernization and safety projects. The funding will go towards the following projects and initiatives in North Dakota:

  • $447,629 to the Kindred-Davenport Regional Airport Authority for construction of a new 490-foot taxilane and a 383-foot access road.
  • $72,000 to the Crosby Airport Authority for construction of a new 1,600 square foot building for snow removal equipment and sand storage, bringing the airport into conformity with current standards.
