Thanks to its Defense Industries, Ukraine Is Set to Become One of the Key Global Contributors to Security – Volodymyr Zelenskyy

In the conditions of war, Ukrainians have managed to build a de facto new defense industry. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his speech at the Second International Forum of Defense Industries.

"Thanks to its defense industries, Ukraine is set to become one of the key global contributors to security and a very strong player in the global arms and defense technology market. Everyone who stands with us, who stands with Ukraine, I am confident, will win," the Head of State noted.

The President announced that in just the first half of this year, Ukraine produced 25 times more artillery and mortar ammunition than in the entire year of 2022. In addition, Ukrainians are also capable of producing 4 million drones, with more than 1.5 million already contracted. Ukrainian defenders deploy the long-range "Palianytsia" missile-drone, while a new ballistic missile has successfully passed flight tests. Ukraine also has "Neptune" missiles, at least 15 units of "Bohdana" howitzers per month, and a new equipment repair base.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that while presenting the Victory Plan to the partners, Ukraine relies on the strength of its warriors and the resilience of its people, as well as on the results-proven ambition that Ukraine can and will create the best weapons.

"Today, almost every visit to our partner countries, almost every negotiation with partners, with leaders of states, as well as direct communication with defense companies, brings Ukraine more investments in the defense sector, more new technologies, and consequently, greater production capabilities," he said.

In particular, during the forum, new agreements will be concluded, and important documents will be signed. As a result, new companies will come to work in Ukraine.
