Class of 2028 Sets New Milestones

The largest incoming class in the institution's 120-year history. The largest group of transfer students since the pandemic. More than 100 honors program scholars. Wentworth reached all of these milestones when the class of 2028 arrived on campus this month.

Achieving these kinds of milestones isn't easy for any university-let alone during a year in which there were fewer 18-year-olds, a delayed and messy implementation of the new federal financial aid application, and the introduction of a new state grant program that Massachusetts students couldn't use at a private university like Wentworth.

So how did Wentworth achieve these milestones? "Our students have great career outcomes, and we're telling their stories-and our story-better," said Amy Sison, Associate Vice President of Enrollment and Dean of Admissions. "We have robust pre-college programs that are driving interest for students. In addition, over the last year, we have significantly increased our communication with families and have worked closely with them to help them navigate the financial aid process."

Wentworth is attracting more students than ever, offering an education that's proven to open doors.

"Increasingly, prospective students and their families are seeking the kind of hands-on, experiential education that is our proven model," said President Mark Thompson. "Reaching these milestones is a testament to the strong momentum of the university, and the great work of all faculty and staff to ensure that a Wentworth education is truly worth it."
