Memory of military pilot Rashad Atakishiyev honored

On July 24, a commemoration ceremony was held with regard to the 5th anniversary of martyrdom of the military pilot of the MiG-29 aircraft of the Air Force, Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Atakishiyev, who crashed during training exercises.
The grave of Shehid military pilot was visited in the Second Alley of Shehids, wreaths were laid, and his memory was honored.
Then, Azerbaijan Military History Museum hosted an event with the participation of representatives of the Defense Ministry and publicity, family members, relatives and comrades of the Shehid.
Memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs) was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The speakers spoke about Shehid's honorable combat path, patriotism, professionalism, determination to fight and commitment to the national and moral values.
The family members of the martyr expressed their gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva and the leadership of the Defense Ministry of for the attention and care.
Then a video dedicated to Lieutenant Colonel R.Atakishiyev was shown.
Music pieces glorifying patriotism and heroism performed at the event aroused interest.
