BEIJING, Aug. 26 -- The Chinese PLA Southern Theater Command dispatched its army troops to Ruili county, Zhenkang county and other front-line border areas in southwest China's Yunnan Province, to carry out armed border patrols and joint air-ground alert patrols. The operation aimed to test the rapid maneuverability, multidimensional blockade and joint strike capabilities of the troops, and maintain security and stability in border areas.
