New broadband investment will bring gigabit speeds to thousands by end of 2024

PORT ST. JOE, Fla. - Aug. 21, 2024 - Consolidated Communications (NASDAQ: CNSL) a leading broadband and business communications provider, today announced a new fiber network expansion, bringing gigabit speed internet to Port St. Joe, Perry and Blountstown in 2024. The company plans to continue fiber expansion in its Florida service area through 2025.

Construction on the new fiber infrastructure is already underway, with service available to thousands of homes and businesses in the coming months. The new expansion in Florida will enable access the Consolidated's symmetrical, gigabit speed service while increasing network reliability.

Consolidated's ongoing investment in Florida's broadband infrastructure is part of the company's multi-year commitment to expanding fiber to more than 70% of its service area.
