Motor Vehicle Collision Involving Pedestrian Investigation: C24 199193

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. on August 26, 2024, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a serious motor vehicle involving a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian at McPhillips Street and Machray Avenue.

Members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service attended and transported the yet-to-be-identified adult female pedestrian to hospital in unstable condition with serious injuries.

The investigation determined the female pedestrian was attempting to cross westbound McPhillips Street at Machray Avenue when she was struck by a 2018 Nissan Titan traveling northbound. The 50-year-old driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene and spoke with attending North District General Patrol officers.

The Traffic Division's Collision Investigation Section has assumed the investigation.
