State Police arrest Johnsonville man following dispute

On August 25, 2024, State Police of Brunswick arrested Joshua M. Lee, 32, of Johnsonville, NY, for Menacing in the third degree, two counts of Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree, unlawful Imprisonment in the second degree, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Harassment in the second degree.

On August 25, 2024, at about 4:16 a.m. Troopers responded to the report of a past dispute. The investigation determined hours prior, Lee and the victim were in a verbal dispute that became physical at a home in Johnsonville, NY. During the dispute, Lee reportedly prevented the victim from calling for help by damaging and taking away their phone. Also, during the dispute, Lee allegedly displayed a knife, obstructed the victim's breathing, and physically restrained them when they attempted to flee. The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident but was able to get free and call for help.

Lee was located and arrested at his home. He was transported to SP Brunswick for processing. He was then arraigned at the Schaghticoke Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
