UPDATE-Corpus Christi Police Department Investigating Fatality at City Hall

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The City of Corpus Christi announces that an investigation is currently underway following an unfortunate incident that occurred this morning at approximately 7:20 a.m. outside of City Hall. The Corpus Christi Police Department is actively investigating the situation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As a precautionary measure, City Hall employees will be asked to work remotely until further notice.

The utility billing offices will remain open to the public. However, residents are strongly encouraged to avoid the area and utilize the 311 Call Center or the online platform for utility bill payments and other services.

The City Secretary's Office will be available Friday until 5:00 p.m. by appointment only to accept applications for a place on the ballot for Mayor and Council Member positions. Please contact us in advance of visiting the office at [email protected] or call 361-826-3121.
