MITC Job Opening – International Trade Specialist

Maine International Trade Center (MITC) is hiring an International Trade Specialist for our Portland, ME office. A hybrid schedule is available; however, the employee must reside in Maine for tax purposes.

Requirements include:

• Confidence in speaking with a variety of business owners and ability to quickly grasp their needs and recommend resources and tools to support international opportunities
• Understanding of the differing needs of Maine's rural and urban communities
• Excellent communication including writing, speaking, and presentation skills; uses good judgment in determining appropriate vehicle for effective communication (e.g., phone, email, text)
• Experience in an entrepreneurial setting and desire to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone pitches in to do what's needed for success
