Dublin Civic Center Lit Up in Green in Support of Veterans

In recognition of our local veterans, Dublin's Civic Center will be lit up in green, November 4-11. The Alameda Country Veterans Affairs Commission has proposed that all City Halls and other civic buildings be illuminated in green for Veterans Day, November 4-11, 2024.

Residents and businesses are also encouraged to participate in "Operation Green Light" by simply changing one light bulb in their house or business to a green bulb. This can be an exterior light that neighbors and passersby see, or an interior light that sparks a conversation with friends. By shining a green light, we let our veterans know that they are seen, appreciated, and supported. Residents can share their participation on social media with the hashtag #OperationGreenLight.

Community members are also asked to reflect on how we, as a nation, and at the city and county level, can assist our military service personnel back into civilian life after completion of their service to our country.
