Repairs to Route 6 in Hayfield Township, Crawford County will be made starting Friday, November 1, 2024.
The project includes creating a wall with steel panels to reenforce the ground under a 273-foot portion of the roadway just north of the Borough of Saegertown. Work will also include drainage improvements and new guiderail for the area of the new support system.
Work is expected to start November 1, 2024, weather permitting, and to be completed within four weeks.
During active work hours, one lane of the roadway will remain open, and traffic will be controlled through the use of flaggers.
The contractor is Chivers Construction of Fairview, PA. The contract cost is $454,452, which is to be paid entirely with state funds.
