Sheriffs Seek Public Help in Capturing Foothill Ranch Bank Robber

The Orange County Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's help and apprehending man who fired a shot while robbing the Chase Bank in Foothill Ranch on Thursday, October 17.

Authority said the man entered the bank near Portola and Bake around noon and walked directly toward a teller. He then fired a shot at the teller's feet before escaping with $31,000. No one was injured during the robbery.

The sheriff's department responded quickly and used all available resources but was unable to capture the man. The robber was described as 5'6 to 510, with a thin build. The robber was wearing a bucket style hat, black mask, yellow hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, gloves, and used a silver revolver style handgun.
