Nighttime Lane Restrictions Planned for the Bayfront Parkway in the City of Erie

​The Bayfront Parkway (Route 4034) will be restricted to one lane between Sassafras Street Extension and State Street during the overnight hours from September 15 to 21.

Drivers should be alert for traffic controlled by flaggers from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM each night. The restrictions are expected to start at 6:00 PM on September 15 and end at 6:00 AM on September 21, weather permitting. The lane will be reopened each day from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The closure is necessary to complete utility relocation work under the roadway as part of the Bayfront Parkway Central Corridor Improvement Project.

Additional traffic shifts remain in place from Water Street or Ore Dock Road as work continues throughout the corridor.
