“Hillcats Take Main” Coming to Downtown Claremore’s Food Truck Thursday Aug. 22

Downtown Claremore will become Hillcat country later this month when Rogers State University takes over for Food Truck Thursday.

Hosted by the RSU Alumni Association, "Hillcats Take Main" (Food Truck Thursday) is scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, in Claremore's Lilac District (downtown), and will include games, food, music, and more - all with a Hillcat spin.

"It's going to be a great evening," said RSU Director of Alumni Engagement Travis Peck. "We'll have all the usual food truck trappings, with a high RSU presence. Several RSU departments will be there, handing out swag and interacting with the crowd, representing the university and serving as goodwill ambassadors to the public.

"We plan on having water balloon fights and a dunk tank set up. There will be cornhole and other yard games set up, Hunter the Hillcat will be there, and we'll be getting photos, so we're encouraging everyone - students, student athletes, faculty, staff, alumni and friends - to come wearing their RSU Red and Navy gear. Of course, you don't have to be connected to RSU to participate. No matter who you are, there will be something fun for you and your family there."

Attendance at Hillcats Take Main - Food Truck Thursday is free.

Food Truck Thursday is a seasonal monthly food truck and shopping event in downtown Claremore, featuring live local musicians, food trucks, late night shopping and a fun atmosphere.
