SCDOT to hold a drop-in public information meeting in Sumter County

​Columbia, S.C.(August 28, 2024) - SCDOT will hold a drop-in public information meeting on Thursday, September 12, 2024, regarding an intersection improvement project in Sumter County.

The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Alice Drive Elementary School, 251 Alice Drive, Sumter, SC 29150. SCDOT representatives will be available to discuss the proposed project with members of the community. There will be no formal presentation.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation proposes improvements to this project that will improve the current intersections of US 378 (Broad Street) at S-490 (Robert Dinkins Road) and US 378 (Broad Street) at SC 120 (Alice Drive). The proposed changes will improve operational efficiency, as well as access management. Visit the project website for additional information.
