Tulsa Parks and Oxley Nature Center invite you to a weekend celebration of poetry and nature on November 15 and 16. The event will feature award-winning author and poet Sasha Martin, the center's 2024 artist-in-residence.
The event will showcase Martin's new collection, "TRAIL + TERMINUS: Poems of Courage, Curiosity, and Expansion," featuring over two dozen poems and interactive artworks highlighting nature's healing power and human resilience.
The schedule includes:
  • Friday, November 15: Artist show and reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m., offering a first look at Sasha's collection. The first ten visitors receive a complimentary chapbook. Additional copies will be available to visitors throughout the upcoming months while supplies last.

  • Saturday, November 16: Family poetry walk from 2 to 3:30 p.m., featuring readings by Sasha and a discussion on Oxley's ecosystems, followed by a sunset poetry walk from 5 to 6:30 p.m., centered on themes of healing and resilience.
