Andrew County Business 71 resurfacing project to begin

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - As the project to resurface portions of U.S. Route 71 in Andrew and Nodaway counties is wrapping up, crews are preparing to begin work on the next stage of the project on Business 71 through Savannah. Herzog Contracting Corp., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation,plans to begin Monday, Sept 30.

The project includes resurfacingthe northbound lanesofBusiness 71 fromInterstate 29 to just south ofRoute 71,thesouthbound lanefrom just south of Route 71 to the southern Savannah city limitsand the shoulders on both segments of Business 71.All work is expected to be complete in November.
