Overnight traffic changes on Adelaide Street

There will be changed traffic conditions on Adelaide Street, between George Street and Edward Street, from Wednesday 4 December until late December 2024 for resurfacing works as part of Brisbane City Council's Brisbane Metro and Adelaide Street Vision projects.

The following traffic changes will take place from Sunday to Thursday nights between 7pm and 5am:

• Between7pm and midnight, partial lane closures will be in place on Adelaide Street with general traffic and bus access maintained in both directions. One lane of traffic in each direction will be open at all times. Closures will be in place according to the staging of the works and the work area required during each shift. Footpath and pedestrian crossing access will be maintained at all times; however detours may be in place around active work areas.
• Between midnight and 5am, a full closure of Adelaide Street between George Street and Edward Street will be required, with traffic detours in place. Driveway access to businesses on Adelaide Street will be restricted during these times. Footpath and pedestrian crossing access will be maintained.
