Event Wrap: LkNOG 8

APNIC supported and participated in LkNOG 8, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 12 to 16 August 2024.

The event welcomed 150 participants to take part in workshops and hear from speakers on topics including AI, network security, DNS/DNSSEC, and network automation. View the schedule for more information.

APNIC activities:

• Pubudu Jayasinghe presented on 'IP addresses and location-based services, Have you got it right?' where he shared common geolocation issues and solutions, along with guidance on implementing geofeed.

• Md. Zobair Khan presented on BGP Security, discussing operation strategies and best practices for network defenders.

• Zobair and APNIC Community Trainer, Subhashini Kadurugasyaya, conducted a four-day Network Security workshop for 25 participants.
• Pubudu visited several APNIC Members and answered their questions on getting more IP addresses, APNIC referrals, RPKI, DASH, REx and much more.
