This week House Minority Tony McCombie met with constituents and local elected officials and attended a townhall event hosted by the Department of Natural Resources. She also served as Principal for the Day at a local school! Check out the photos of her week that brought her across the 89th District:

Traveling office hours are held routinely by House Minority Leader Tony McCombie. These events are held throughout the district to ensure constituents across northwest Illinois receive the state services and support they need from her legislative office. This week's office hours were in Oregon…Stay tuned for more dates to come!

The Department of Natural Resources has been hosting townhall events across northern Illinois to hear from residents in areas impacted by Chronic Wasting Disease, a fatal neurological illness that affects deer. CWD has impacted the 89th District and after hearing from constituents and their concerns about DNR's policies to address CWD, Leader McCombie encouraged more input from area residents and hunters-as well as state agency leaders. There will be additional townhalls coming up, which can be found on DNR's website.

Leader McCombie loved being a Principal for the Day at Kings School! She visited a number of classes, read to students, talked about her role in the state legislature, and even had time to give the morning announcements! Principal for the Day was a program started by the Illinois Principals Association to get lawmakers into schools, and House Minority Leader Tony McCombie has enjoyed taking part-and meeting all the administrative professionals, educators, and students along the way!

The House Minority Leader met with local mayors this week to give a legislative update and listen to their concerns about local issues.

The next stop was a ribbon cutting to celebrate the new owners of Poopy's bar in Savanna, which has been called the biggest biker destination in Illinois!
