What clinical guidance topics should AGA cover next

The AGA Institute Clinical Guidelines Committeeand AGA Institute Clinical Practice Updates Committeewant your input on the next set of clinical documents AGA should develop. By completing the online form belowyou can submitrecommendations for guidelines and CPUs which you think should be developed in the future.

The deadline to submityour ideas is Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024.

It's easy - 3 steps to submit an idea

  1. Check out the clinical guidance that AGA has already developedor are in progress.
  2. Complete the form here. You can submit more than one topic by filling out the form multiple times.
  3. Stay tuned for follow-up questions in case the committee needs more information on your recommendations.

Both committees will review topics by prioritizing and ranking topics based on criteria which include: prevalence of disease, resource utilization, variation in care, other existing guidelines, new data/changes in diagnosis or treatment and potential for measure/quality development. Once vetted, two or more new guidelines and 15-20 CPUs will be recommended for development over the next few years.

AGA develops clinical guidance using the most up-to-date research to help you practice evidence-based medicine. Clinical guidance is critical to reducing care variation and providing high-quality patient care.
