The City of Lowell's Department of Planning and Development (DPD) is excited to host Lowell's first-ever traffic playground event on Saturday, October 5, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. For one day only, a temporary street network will be set up using chalk, cones, and duct tape for all who walk, ride, or roll to test out and enjoy. This is your chance to try out scootering and biking skills and share feedback on the design of the permanent traffic playground set for construction next summer in 2025.
Whether you're a confident rider or just starting out, the Bike Connector will be on-site offering skills and safety lessons for all ages. Bring your own bike or scooter, or borrow one on site! Plus, representatives from the Lowell Police Department will be there to teach the rules of the road and answer your questions about public safety services.
