On November 12, Administrator Samantha Power spoke with Luis von Ahn, CEO of the language-learning platform Duolingo and President of the Luis von Ahn Foundation. Administrator Power and von Ahn discussed opportunities to support democratic participation, education, digital development, and anti-corruption progress in Guatemala. Administrator Power and von Ahn discussed USAID's work in Guatemala under the Democracy Delivers initiative, as well as the Luis von Ahn Foundation's recent commitment of more than $13 million in grants for local partners in Guatemala.
