BHSU ANNOUNCES FALL 2024 MUSIC EVENTS
The Black Hills State University Music Department is announcing its fall concert schedule. All events will be free and open to the public except for the BHSU Chamber Singers Madrigal Dinner fundraiser in December. Performances will be held in Meier Hall unless an alternative location is specified.
The semester's performances will kick off with the Swarm Days Parade on Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. The parade route will start at Hillsview Road, then turn onto North Ave., and continue towards Main Street.
October events will begin with a Band Concert on Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. The month will continue with a Jazz Concert on Oct. 11 and a Choir Concert on Oct. 19. Both events will begin at 7 p.m. October will conclude with an Orchestra Concert on Oct. 20 and a Chamber Music Concert on Oct. 27. Both performances will begin at 2 p.m.
November performances will include a Band Concert on Nov. 15, a Jazz Concert on Nov.16, and a Choral Concert on Nov. 23. All performances will take place at 7 p.m. November events will continue with an Orchestra Concert on Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. The month will wrap up with the Northern Hills Honor Bands Festival on Nov. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Spearfish High School Auditorium.
In December, the BHSU Music Department will host their annual Chamber Singers Madrigal Dinner fundraiser Dec. 5-7. Tickets will go on sale in late October at BHSU.edu/Madrigal.
