In Memoriam: Steve Volkodav

Illinois REALTORS® remembers Steve Volkodav, former CEO of the North Shore-Barrington Association of REALTORS® (NSBAR), who died on Nov. 11, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

Volkodav had a long career in the real estate association industry, first in Illinois and later Colorado. He joined NSBAR in 2000 as its director of information systems. In 2013, he was named the CEO of NSBAR, a position he held for nearly 7 years.

Volkodav was recognized as a leader in association management and in 2018 was inducted into the Dr. Almon R. (Bud) Smith, RCE, AE Leadership Society for his work advancing the industry.

Since 2020, Volkodav has been the CEO of the Pike's Peak Association of REALTORS® in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
